Holy Royal Arch is the continuation of Craft Freemasonry. Its members, called Companions, meet in Chapters under a Grand Chapter.The Royal Arch is the culmination of "pure ancient masonry".
The Craft gives its members eminently practical rules by which they can live their lives in the service of both God, however they worship Him, and the community as a whole.Man,however, is not simply a practical being but has an essential spritual aspect to his nature. This is taken up in the Royal Arch, in which the candidate, without trespassing on the bounds of religion, is led to contemplate the nature of God and his personal relationship with Him.
Thus the Royal Arch leads the candidate from the practical to the spiritual and completes "pure ancient masonry", a fascinating journey of self- knowledge and self - discovery beginning with the Entered Apprentice degree and culminating in the First Principal's chair of the Chapter.
I am a member of both Khyber Lodge (582) and Border Chapter (582 EC). Both Lodge and Chapter were started in Peshwar, India in the 1850's and moved to London 100 years later. Both meet at Duke St in St James SW1.
I am privileged to be the official organist for both Lodge and Chapter, and as such I have a wealth of experience in providing the music for both Lodge and Chapter meetings, festive board, and for other Craft events ranging from social activities through to funerals.
I am always happy to receive enquiries from local Lodges and Chapters in the Staffordshire/West Midland are who need the services of an organist or pianist for their meetings, whether as a one off for a special occasion, to cover for a regular Lodge or Chapter organist who cannot attend a meeting. I am also happy to hear from any Lodge or Chapter who is looking to appoint a regular organist.
If your Lodge or chapter room has no organ or piano, or you require music for a festive board where no instrument is available,I can provide my own portable keyboard and appropriate sound equipment. I also have a full PA system available for hire for social events, and will deliver and set up the equipment and also act as sound engineer if required.

In 1951. Khyber was about to return home. A Centenary Warrant was applied for and obtained with permission from the Grand Master to celebrate at any time between SEPTEMBER 1950 and SEPTEMBER 1951. The Lodge is recorded as havinq moved on 7th November 1951. Presumably the Centenary was celebrated before coming to London in the Temple at Peshawar.
We now meet at 10 Duke Street, St James, London four times a year on the 3rd Friday in February and the 2nd Friday in June, September and November
